Many lonely youths are attracted to this scary and mysterious “hide and seek” internet game. This has led to a string of bizarre and horrifying happenings. Ryoko decided to join in the game to investigate after her friends began to disappear one by one after playing the game, not realizing that something frightening is awaiting her.
Detective Hoshino visits the mansion of Miyako Rozmberk in order to investigate the murder of her former maid. She blames the murder on a man named Ukyo Kuronuma, whom Hoshino catches in the act of biting a young girl’s neck as she begs for her life. Ukyo was once known as Okita, a swordsman from Edo period who was turned into a vampire by Miyako. Hoshino soon finds himself turned into a vampire as well, and ends up in a battle with Ukyo for the right to spend eternity with the irresistible Miyako.
Six classmates received an e-mail from Asuka who should have committed suicide, when they were to get together in a classroom that night. At 1 a.m., a person wearing a bloody rat-mask appears, ferociously attacking them, saying “I’m going to avenge Aska!” Will this be the end of them all!? And who is the rat-masked person!?
Shamoto runs a small tropical fish shop. His second wife, Taeko, does not get along with his daughter, Mitsuko, and this worries him. One day Mitsuko is caught shoplifting at a grocery store. There they meet a friendly man named Murata, who helps to settle things between Mitsuko and the store manager. Since Murata also runs a tropical fish shop, Shamoto establishes a bond with him and they become friends; Mitsuko even begins working for Murata and living at his house. What Shamoto doesn’t know, however, is that Murata hides many dark secrets behind his friendly face. He sells cheap fish to his customers for high prices with his artful lies. If anyone detects his fraud or refuses to go along with his money-making schemes, they’re murdered and their bodies disposed of by Murata and his wife in grisly ways. Shamoto is suddenly taken in by Murata’s tactics, and by the time he realizes that Murata is insane, and a serial killer who has made over fifty people disappear, he is powerless to do anything about it. But now Mitsuko is a hostage at Murata’s home, and Shamoto himself has become the killer’s unwilling accomplice. Cruel murders gradually cripple his mind and finally the ordinary man is driven to the edge of the abyss.
A girl named Kimika wakes up chained up in a dark boiler room, unsure of how she got there. She’s soon approached by a strange large man wearing a mask and using a creepy voice changer. The girl is the daughter of Daisuke, the shrewd president of a general contracting company. Daisuke was too occupied with an ongoing sexual fling with his secretary (Asami) to notice that his daughter was missing at first, and his relationship with her was already strained due to a certain incident in the past, but when he receives a threatening phone call he eventually recognizes the gravity of the situation. Eventually, Kimika begins to calm down as her fear slowly turns into a perverse attraction to this strange person holding her captive. What is the kidnapper’s motive? And what is his true form? In the basement of a certain building, insanity merges with obscenity as the plot unfolds.
Seven characters, introduced at the start of the film, get thrown together into the same hotel room: a thief who’s stolen a suitcase of money from the mob, his ex-girlfriend, her obsessive boyfriend, the mob soldier sent to retrieve the briefcase, another mobster sent to kill them, master voyeur Captain Banana and his new apprentice, The Mister Yellow.
